TikTok Shop Integration

Key Concepts

The TikTok Shop integration connects your TikTok Shop seller account to Printago so orders turn into print jobs without retyping anything. When an order is ready to fulfill, TikTok tells Printago right away. Printago imports the order, matches each item's seller SKU to your Printago SKUs, and (if you turn on auto-print) queues the jobs for your printers.

You connect by signing in to TikTok Shop and approving Printago. Printago never sees your TikTok password, and you can connect several TikTok shops to one Printago store.

What You Get

  • Orders import as soon as TikTok reports them ready to ship, with a backup check every 3 hours
  • Automatic SKU matching using the seller SKU on each product variation
  • Automatic queueing (optional) for newly imported orders
  • Cancellations in TikTok Shop cancel the order in Printago
  • Auto-close (optional) when the order ships or is delivered
  • Multiple TikTok shops in one Printago store
  • On-demand Sync Orders to backfill or re-pull recent orders

Availability

TikTok Shop is available to sellers in the US. TikTok only lets US shops authorize Printago, so a shop in another country can't connect yet.

In Printago, open Marketplace, find TikTok Shop, and click More info, then Activate. Activation is free. Once it's on, the card shows Manage, which opens the add-on. See Add-on subscriptions for how add-ons are turned on.

Connect TikTok Shop to Printago

  1. In Printago, open Marketplace, find TikTok Shop, and click Manage.
  2. Click Connect TikTok Shop, then Continue to TikTok Shop.
  3. A TikTok Shop window opens. Sign in with your seller account and authorize Printago.
  4. When you finish, the window closes and your shop appears as Connected, along with its region.

The region comes from your TikTok Shop account, so there's nothing to pick. To connect another shop, click Add Shop and repeat the steps. Use the shop picker at the top left to switch between shops; each shop has its own Connection and Settings tabs.

Connection Tab

The Connection tab shows the selected shop's name, its status, its region, and when Printago Last synced it.

Actions

  • Sync Orders: opens the Sync orders window (see Syncing orders manually)
  • Disconnect: removes the shop from Printago. Orders already imported stay in Printago, but new orders won't sync until you reconnect

Reauthorize needed

If TikTok revokes Printago's access to a shop (for example, when the authorization is removed from your TikTok Shop account), the shop shows a red Reauthorize needed badge and the message "TikTok revoked this shop's authorization." Order syncing for that shop pauses, and Sync Orders is disabled.

Click Reconnect and authorize Printago again. The shop comes back with the same settings it had before.

Settings

Open the Settings tab to control what happens when orders arrive. Settings apply to the shop selected in the shop picker.

Automatically print orders

When on, new orders from TikTok Shop are added to the print queue as soon as they import. Items that have a problem (for example, a SKU Printago doesn't recognize) are skipped until you fix them. Off by default.

Auto-close orders synced from TikTok Shop

  • When shipped: Printago closes the order once TikTok reports it in transit (or later)
  • When delivered: Printago closes the order once TikTok reports it delivered or completed
  • Never: orders stay open in Printago until you close them (the default)

How Orders Sync

Which orders import

Printago imports an order once it's paid and ready to fulfill: Awaiting shipment, Partially shipping, or Awaiting collection in TikTok Shop. Orders that are unpaid, or still On hold during the buyer's free-cancellation window, wait. They import as soon as TikTok moves them to Awaiting shipment.

If a TikTok notification is the first Printago hears of an order that has already shipped or been delivered, it still imports the order, then applies your auto-close setting so it doesn't sit open. Auto-print skips these orders, since they no longer need printing.

After import, Printago keeps following the order:

When the TikTok Shop order becomesPrintago
In transitCloses the order, if auto-close is set to When shipped
Delivered or CompletedCloses the order, if auto-close is set to When shipped or When delivered
CancelledCancels the order and its items

An order is never imported twice, however many times TikTok reports it.

Real time, with a backup

TikTok notifies Printago when an order changes status, so orders usually appear shortly after they're ready to ship. Printago also checks every connected shop every 3 hours for orders awaiting shipment or collection, in case a notification was missed.

Syncing orders manually

Click Sync Orders on the Connection tab to backfill or re-pull orders. Choose:

  • How many days back?: the last 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days
  • Include orders that are: Awaiting shipment, Shipped (in transit), and/or Delivered or completed

Then click Sync orders. Orders already in Printago are skipped.

caution

With Automatically print orders on, every order a manual sync imports is queued for printing, including shipped or delivered ones if you ticked those statuses. Turn auto-print off first if you're only backfilling history.

SKU Matching

Printago matches each item using the seller SKU you set on the product variation in TikTok Shop:

  1. Exact match: a Printago SKU with the same code, for example DRGN-EGG.
  2. Suffix match: if there's no exact match, Printago reads the code as a base SKU plus option suffixes, for example WIDGET-001-RED-LG for WIDGET-001 in Red, Large. See SKU Suffixes.

TikTok sends the buyer's chosen variation as a single description, which Printago stores on the order item as Variation for reference. Because TikTok doesn't send option names and values separately, the seller SKU is what drives matching, so give every variation its own seller SKU.

An item with no seller SKU still imports, but it needs a SKU assigned in Printago before it can print. If you add the matching SKU in Printago later, waiting items pick it up automatically.

Orders in Printago

TikTok Shop orders appear on your Orders page alongside your other channels. Turn on the Source and Shop columns (column settings, top right of the table) to see which orders came from TikTok Shop and which shop they came from. From there they work like any other order: queue them with Print Order, track their jobs, and close them when they ship. See Orders.

Troubleshooting

Orders aren't importing

  • Check the order's status in TikTok Shop. Orders that are unpaid or on hold don't import until they reach Awaiting shipment
  • Check the Connection tab for a Reauthorize needed badge, and reconnect if you see one
  • Click Sync Orders and include the statuses you're looking for

Items show "Missing SKU"

  • Set a seller SKU on the TikTok Shop product variation
  • Create the matching SKU in Printago, or add the variant suffixes it needs

Technical Details

Authentication

Printago connects with TikTok Shop's OAuth authorization. It never sees your TikTok password. Printago requests access to your shop information, your orders, and fulfillment details.

Notifications from TikTok are signed, and Printago rejects any it can't verify. It treats each one only as a prompt: it reads the order back from TikTok Shop before acting on it.

Data Privacy

Printago keeps the buyer's name and their state and country, which is enough to identify orders on your dashboard. Phone numbers and street and postal addresses are not stored; you fulfill shipping from TikTok Shop as usual.

Sync Frequency

  • Real time: order status notifications from TikTok Shop
  • Backup: an automatic check every 3 hours
  • Manual: Sync Orders on the Connection tab
