Cost Catalog

The Cost Catalog addon tracks costs for materials, labor, and overhead, and calculates SKU costs and profit margins with comprehensive cost breakdowns. It gives you a single global cost library: update a rate once and the change automatically applies to all SKUs that use it.

The Cost Catalog appears in the Retail section of the Addons page. Once it is active, click Manage on its card to open the catalog.

The Cost Library​

Costs are organized into three tabs, each showing how many entries it contains:

  • Components - Per-unit costs for items that go into your products, such as hardware (for example, an M3 screw at $0.05 per unit).
  • Labor - Labor costs.
  • Overhead - Overhead costs.

Each catalog entry has a Name, Unit, Rate, and optional Description. Use the edit and delete buttons in the Actions column to maintain entries, and click + Add to Catalog to add a new one.

SKU Costs and Margins​

Rates from the catalog feed into SKU cost and profit margin calculations, so keeping the catalog current keeps your product economics accurate.
